今天开始晚上要去上芬兰语课了。所以趁着昨天晚上和今天休息时间把今天的计划 本周ted 还有今天的单词都学习了,多多利用碎片时间,还是很棒的。

~~~~~~~~~~~~Ted~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Social meaning, but no semantic meaning. That’s what we say to strangers: “hello, how are you? It’s a beautiful day. How do you feel?”  Because those sentences no semantic meaning.
In my countries, people were raised to believe that strangers are dangerous by default. We cannot trust them, we should not talk to them, we cannot open the door for strangers. But most strangers aren’t dangerous.
The speaker started documenting her experience to try to figure out why she was obsessed wit talking to strangers. She found there were really profound experiences, unexpected pleasures, genuine emotional connections, and liberating moments.
One day, she was tanking in the street on the storm drain, waiting for the light to change. There was an old man standing next to her and said to her: “don’t stand there, you might disappear.” she did what the old man told her. She thought that he was so warm and he was so happy that he’d save her. She felt like she was worth saving.
She mentioned two huge benefits to using our senses instead of our fears.
1) it liberates us.
     using perception instead of categories is much easier said than done. Categories are something our brains use, to divide the people as male, female, young, old, black, brown, white, stranger…...
2) using our senses has to do with intimacy
researchers have found that people often feel more comfortable being honest and open about their inner selves with strangers than hey do with their friends and their families. Why? She thinks that two reasons. First: it’s a quick interaction. no consequences. It’s easy to be honest with someone you’re never going to see again.
Second; where it gets more interesting. With friends, alway suppose they understand us. But with strangers, have to start from scratch.
They are unwritten rules we tend to follow, but different depending on the country.
