This  chapter is in Juli's vision. Before Loskis' dinner, She thought about what did Bryce do  and felt angry with Bryce.

After they arrived to Loskis' home, Juli said she wouldn't want to talk to Bryce because she heard what he said in the library. To get rid of Bryce, she joined father and Bryce's grandfather's talk, they talked about perpetual-motion machine, pretended that she is curious in science. She ignored Bryce's apology when Bryce try to make compromise, and she thought it was rude to do that.

Bryce's father is unfriendly, and the dinner is tense.

After the dinner, Juli told Bryce she was sorry for having been fierce when they'd first come in.

The next day, Mrs Stueby suggested Juli to get a rooster, so the hens would lay more eggs. But Juli didn't want to be the neighborhood rancher, so she wouldn't get a rooster.

It seems that she would change her mind after a few days at school, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
