I was nominated as a candidate for class president.I won the election."I must forget about my home.In my other life-my real life-I'm not worthless.They(my classmates) respect me".After I hurried to home,my friends followed me home from school.They came to my home.Niang was very angry at my friends' visit.She slapped me,and said"You're nothing without your father."

Niang and father decided to bring me back to Tianjin.In the airport,father told me he've forgotten my Chinese name and my birthday.In the landing card,he filled his birthday November 30 in the date of the birth.When arrived in Tianjin,I was sent to the board school.Father even did not wave goodbye to me.

In my new school,we were divided into six classes depending on our ability to speak English.I was placed in the beginner's group.Later,the number of students had windled.By the middle of 12,I was the only student left.The communists were coming,so our days were numbered.

1949,Niang's older sister,Aunt Reine came to rescue me and was going to take me to Hongkong.I knew my parents and Yeye fled to Hongkong three months ago.So I quaked at the thought of what Niang would ay when she saw me.
