1.Describe the Tombs of the Ancient Kings.

  There were great masses of mouldering stone shaped like gigantic bee-hive, but a little narrower. They looked very black and grim, for the sun was now setting right behind them. 

   There were about twelve Tombs and dotted about in no kind of order,each with a low arched doorway that opened into absolute blackness. 

2.What kept Shasta company during the night while he waited for his companions at the Tombs?  

   A cat sound like lived  for long.long years .

3.What did the cat do for him during the night? 

   Kept the boy safe from the terrible animal.
