1、What is Digory tempted to do in Chap. 4?

He want to explore this place and he also want to strike the bell

2、Why does he do it?

This is a chance to know a new world and he didn’t want to miss it

And he didn’t want he driver mad by always thinking of what happened after striking the bell

3、Does it seem like magic forced him to do it?

I don't think so. It's because he's so curious that he does it.

4、 Are there reasons why he should (or shouldn’t) have done what he did?

Digory  shouldn’t hurt Polly’s wrist quite badly because that made Polly beginning to cry

 Digory  shouldn’t strike the bell because they heard a loud sound but didn’t found anther one and the noise made almost thing fall in this room ,although everything became quiet again ,I think something will happen quickly
