Narnia 6-CHAPTER FOUR
THE BELL AND THE HAMMER
question
1. What is Digory tempted to do in Chap. 4?
Digory thought they should always be wondering what else would have happened if they had struck the bell. And he did so while preventing Polly from going off.
2. Why does he do it?
He do wish to knew the story that's behind all this in the room. And this whole room is just stiff with enchantments. The Magic has begun to work on.
3. Does it seem like magic forced him to do it?
Yes.
4. Are there reasons why he should (or shouldn’t) have done what he did?
He expects anyone who's come as far as this is bound to go on wondering till it sends him dotty. That's the Magic. He feels it beginning to work on him already.
