The Witch made a mistake that let Digory know al the other things the Witch had been saying to him sound false and hollow

And also the shining tears in Aslan’s eyes made he sure that all the thing that he did is right thing

And his mother teach he should keep promise that made he insisted until he find it’s a mistake
